Wild Swimming Club

Monday Mornings, 10am. Advanced booking required.

Join credited open-water swimming coach Sarah Walsh at 10am on Monday mornings, alongside fellow swimmers. Sessions are always exhilarating and welcoming, with an optional coffee and cake in the Beach Club Restaurant after your swim. 

Guests staying in Carbis Bay Estate Luxury Lodges enjoy complimentary access to this swimming class. Please contact reservations to secure your place. Sessions are always risk assessed and the sea conditions monitored.

Yoga in the C Bay Studio

Relax into your holiday and let the stress of your day to day routine melt away. Join our resident yoga teacher Kate Dove in the breathtaking C Bay Studio for Hatha yoga classes. There are several classes each week, all welcoming mixed abilities and beginners. Advance booking is recommended as spaces are limited.

Under 16s Swimming Times

9.30 am – 11.30 am (daily) 4.30 pm – 5.30 pm (daily)

For guests with children under that ages of 16, make use of the outdoor heated pool in the C Bay Spa during the dedicated family swimming times. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Admire the beautiful natural surrounds of Carbis Bay, without the cold embrace of the ocean!

Thursday Live Music Nights

May Dates: Thursday 1st May, Thursday 15th May, Thursday 29th May. Music from 7pm.

Summer is on the horizon, which means that our Thursday Live Music Nights are back! Join local musician Bob Seymour in our beautiful Beach Club restaurant and bar, as he sings a range of well-known, popular songs. The evenings are always atmospheric and feel good, we hope to see you there!

Jazz at Walter's on the Beach

Friday 30 May. Free event. Live music commences at 7:30pm.

On the last Friday of each month, local jazz legend Tom Quirke and his trio gather to put on a toe tapping performance at Walter's on the Beach, our cocktail bar and restaurant. Book a table and enjoy the music whilst you eat, or stop by for a drink at the bar where signature cocktails will be served throughout the evening.

Paella on The Promenade

Friday 30th May and every Friday in June, July & August

Enjoy a traditional paella made with locally sourced meats and fresh fish served alongside live music starting from 6pm. 

Traditional Paella
With Chicken, Chorizo, Prawns, Squid, Mussels and Soft-Shell Crab.

Vegetarian Paella
With Mushrooms, Onions, Celeriac and Fennel.

Taking place on the last evening of May and every Friday in June, July and August.

May Half Term Kids' Club at Carbis Bay Estate

Join us at our popular Kids' Club! Packed full of daily activities to keep little and older ones busy, engaged and having fun during the holidays. Kids' yoga, arts and crafts, film nights, and pizza making are just some of the fun activities on offer here at Carbis Bay Estate.

May Day

Monday 5th May 

Celebrate Beltane, joining locals and tourists on Monday 5 May 2025 for May Day celebrations in St Ives. May Day is an annual tradition which commemorates the advent of spring, the date of the festival falls halfway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice on May 1, with Maypole dancing, May Horns and a procession throughout the day.

St Ives Food & Drink Festival

16th, 17th & 18th May 2025

This year the St Ives Food & Drink Festival returns to Porthmeor Beach. Indulge in local food, spirits and wines, attend cooking demonstrations in the "Chef's Fire Pit" by renowned chefs and enjoy musical sunset sessions. The festival is free to attend during the day, however tickets must be purchased in advance for the evenings.

Tate St Ives Family Events

For budding young artists, Tate St Ives hosts an array of family oriented events throughout the month. 

Toddle Tate

If you have toddlers under the age of 5, take them to the monthly Toddle Tate multi-sensory sessions. 

Art Explorers

Older children can embark on an Art Exploration quest around the gallery with Explorer Backpacks and Tate Shapes activities. 

Art Adventurers Town Trail

From the gallery, families can purchase Art Adventurers Town Trail packs, follow the map around the town and learn about the artists who lived and worked in St Ives.

Minack Theatre

There is plenty going on at the Minack Theatre this season to keep the whole family entertained.

Theatre and Garden Visit

Explore the historic theatre and discover the sub tropical gardens enclosing the paths and cliffs around the auditorium. Tour places are limited and advanced booking is essential.

Storytelling Performances

If you visit the Minack Theatre during the school holidays, children can attend storytelling performances on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Be aware that storytelling events are not included in your visit and separate tickets must be purchased to attend.
