St Ives

Azure oceans, golden sands and creative inspiration around every corner. Grab a pasty, browse the art at the Tate St Ives and round off your day with an ice cream on Porthminster beach.

  • St Ives By Train

Just a short walk from the hotel is one of the most scenic rail routes in Cornwall. If you don't fancy the two mile walk along the South West Coast Path (which runs in front of the hotel), the St Ives Branch line takes you directly into the heart of the town without the hassle of trying to find a parking space.

  • St Ives Harbour

Soak up the Cornish sea air and watch local fishermen landing their daily catches of fresh seafood. Whilst fishing is no longer the main industry, the harbour still manages to retain much of its charm.

  • Tate St Ives

Tate St Ives features work by some of the most influential British artists of the 20th Century who lived and worked in the town including Alfred Wallis, Ben Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth - their work demonstrating the impact this small coastal town has had on the world of modern art. There is also an ever-changing programme of events and exhibitions that run throughout the year.

  • St Ives Boat Trips

Head out onto the waters where the Cornish coast meets the Atlantic Ocean, on a boat skippered by locals who know the best caves, coves and islets to explore. Take a trip to Seal Island or Godrevy Lighthouse and Hell’s Mouth, or cast a line and try to catch a few fish for the barbecue. And, if you’re lucky, you might be joined by dolphins, leaping in the boat’s wake.
