Join us for the first Friday Jazz Session of the year with Tom Quirke Jazz Trio featuring Sarah McDonagh on Sax and James MacPhail on Double Bass.
Taking place on the last Friday of each month, in Walter's on The Beach, our cocktail bar and restaurant. See dates below for all evenings, local Jazz legend Tom Quirke will be joined by different musicians for each event.
Friday 31 January - Tom Quirke Jazz Trio featuring Sarah McDonagh on Sax and James MacPhail on Double Bass. Performing classic pieces from the Great American songbook, expect a night from toe tapping swing to soulful ballads.
Thomas Quirke is a seasoned musician and educator with 29 years of experience. Inspired by his father, Michael Quirke, a 60s singer and teacher, Thomas began performing at age 10 and later studied World Contemporary Jazz. Thomas has supported artists such as Oasis, Lily Allen, Tom Jones, and Olly Murs, and collaborates with function bands like Joey the Lips. He also reviews pianos and keyboards for 'Keys Review' and runs the St. Ives Jazz Club, promoting live jazz events.
